Power Generation

Planetary single-speed gearbox for ultimate simplicity in long-duration applications running year-round.  Available in 50hz (1500 RPM) and 60hz (1800 RPM) configurations for worldwide deployment in power generation applications.

In-House Turbine Testing

As the energy landscape changes, we are constantly adapting to new and exciting use cases for turbine technology, and the versatility of the SPG4 shines in these unique applications.

Our full-scale turbine testing facility enables us to hit the ground running when we deploy on site by replicating real-world scenarios and eliminating unforeseen variables before we deliver.

Multi-Purpose

From developing next-generation technology to putting our next delivery through the paces, we run a wide variety of activities on site:

  • Standard Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on outgoing turbine systems, including electrical generation and direct drive power

  • Live demonstrations for new clients or applications

  • Ongoing research & development initiatives to increase turbine power and efficiency

  • Custom fuel mixtures to replicate real-world scenarios for alternative fuels

  • Control system updates

In-house design and manufacturing of control systems

At the heart of all Signal Power Group's systems is our patented in-house control system, known as the ATDEC.  With decades of turbine operation experience within our design team, we understand the need to simplify the operation of complex equipment so our clients can focus on their business.  The ATDEC architecture is designed to condense the array of inputs from our equipment into easy-to-understand, useful data.

In addition, several I/O interfaces are reserved for additional custom sensors that can take in external data from upstream or downstream in the process, and control our equipment with a focus on the larger picture.  This gives end users the control they actually need, and removes the guesswork from the system.

Safe Operation:   Over 100,000+ hours of operation, we have optimized our control systems with the necessary guardrails to prevent misuse, ultimately reducing operating costs and increasing on-site safety.

Data Logging:  Our data logging system enables us to remotely evaluate sensor data, for a hands-on approach to predictive maintenance, resulting in minimal downtime.  This data is available to end users as well, enabling everyone to collaborate on potential optimizations, upgrade opportunities, and areas to further bulletproof the system.

Internal Redundancy:  Each ATDEC is equipped with two ZINQ 7000 processing units for built-in system redundancy, required in military applications and highly applicable in industrial systems.
